COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Ruby Faye Hornsby, 90, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Earlewood Baptist Church with interment to follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Memorials may be made to Earlewood Baptist Church, 2930 River Dr., Columbia, SC 29201. Mrs. Hornsby was born November 18, 1928 in Spartanburg, SC, and passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. She was a daughter of the late Cline Coogler Bouknight and Jess Miles. Mrs. Hornsby was a member of Earlewood Baptist Church for 55 years. Her life was her church, her family and her friends. She was always there for anyone who needed her. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine McBride; son, Harold Vaughan Hornsby; daughter, Virginia Krawczyk (Peter); grandchildren, Kristy Winburn (Johnnie), Tiffanee Ivery, Jinny Hornsby, Jill Roberts (Jason), Whitney Hildebrand (Terry); eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Annie Hutto, Sandra Tucker, Janie Sharpe and brothers, Paul and Winston Miles. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years; a grandchild, Randall Dority, and her brother, Manuel Miles.
