Sandra W. Rickard

She is survived by her husband/soulmate of 39 years, Jeffrey Allen Rickard of Lexington, SC; her two children and their spouses whom she loved as much as her own, LeAnn Casey (Samuel) of Charleston, SC, Adam Rickard (Ashley) of Lexington, SC; her mother, Jean Taylor Williams of Laurens, SC; her beloved sisters and brother, Dawn Williams Burks of North Myrtle Beach, Kay Price (Allen) of Gilbert, SC, Anthony Williams (Jennifer) of Waynesville, NC and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her father, Charles Roy Williams.

Sandra was born in Columbia, SC at Providence Hospital to Jean and Charles Williams on July 8, 1958. Sandra was a graduate of W J Keenan High School (1975), and she retired from working for Blue Cross & Blue Shield in Columbia, SC. She married Jeff in September 1983 and they relocated to DuBois, PA where they remained until they both agreed that South Carolina winters were more tolerable for retirement. She worked as an office manager for Dr. Kush in DuBois. After LeAnn was born, she taught classes in medical billing at a community college and then dedicated her life to raising her family and volunteering in the school system for 8+ years during the elementary years for both LeAnn and Adam.

Sandra was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was a planner who was always thinking three steps ahead of everyone else and made sure she and everyone around her were prepared for any possibility. She had a ready listening ear for anyone who needed it and frank advice for anyone who needed it as well.

She is much beloved and will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Sandra will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, South Carolina 29072.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sandra's memory may be made to Midlands American Heart Association, 190 Knox Abbott Drive # 301, Cayce, SC, www.heart.org.

The family would like to express their thanks to the staff at Lexington Medical Center and Lexington Extended Care for their devoted care of Sandra.
