Savannah Elise Winters passed on October 31, 2019 at 4:16 am in the arms of her mom, dad and closest family. Our hearts are breaking as we have to say goodnight to her.

Savannah enjoyed scrap-booking, music, DC Super Hero's, Disney princesses, the ocean (she was a mermaid in training after all) and LED dancing with her beautiful wings. She enjoyed fast cars or just a fast golf cart she could scare her mom on. She also enjoyed cutting flowers in her mom's garden, kayaking with her daddy, Doug, and spending time with her "LiL big Bro", Julian. She loved her dogs, Mary Jane and Marley Bob, or any animal she could get. She was her mother's savage daughter, who ran barefoot cursing sharp stones.

Savannah was adventurous, beautiful, smart and forever curious. A warrior princess; she never backed down and she never stopped fighting.

Savannah is survived by her son, Aaron Douglas Scott; her "LiL big Bro", Julian Layton; her step brother, Cody Layton; her mother, Marie Layton; her daddy, Douglas Layton; her aunt, Nikki Holt; uncle, Mike Holt; cousins, Ryan Gurley, Jessi Holt, Kelsie Holt; her aunt, Beverly Taylor; uncle, Henry Canada; her aunt, Angie Miller; cousin, Madison Miller; grandmother/grandfather, Lilla and Jimmy Kirby; her paternal grandmother, Diana Winters; biological father, Jason Winters, along with countless friends and loved ones.

Services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Visitation will start at 2:00 pm with services immediately following at 3:00 pm. Services will be officiated by Pastor Doolittle of Dolorsa Worship Center (located in Pelion, SC).

Savannah is in the loving arms of her Mee Maw and Jesus, where she can now be restored to feel all the love and wait for us to be together again.

My sincere sympathy Carol, Doug, and family for your loss. I will forever remember Savannah as the blonde little girl at Landmark. So many memories. May God Bless you all. RIP Savannah

We sat outside in the cold, surrounded by our friends in landmark.
During this moment, we didn't have all our coming responsibilities of adult hood, summer vacations spent with work, our friends living in different cities, states, countries, etc. During this moment we were all free and enjoying our friendship, the warmth of fire and the memories we'd create. You were always an inviting and welcoming person. You and your family gave us a home to be. I will never forget you. I'm glad that I've had a life to experience who you were, and remember you now that you're resting. You were amazing. Rest well, Savannah.

Savannah I can remember the first day we met like it was yesterday. You had such a beautiful smile and persona that made me attracted to you. We started talking for a while and found out that we like some of the same stuff which made us fall in love with each other even more. I remember you telling me about your past and when you thought things we're going south I stepped in and helped you out in the best way possible. I took care of you and gave you a place to stay when you felt like no one else would and helped you keep a job and looked after you when you were sick. You are so proud of yourself for how your life was starting to get better while we were together We had some happy times together watching anime and playing games together. We had a lot of ups and downs but we pulled through. I don't regret the time that we had together and I wish we could have had more time together. You we're always an angel in my eyes and my heart but now you're an angel up above. I love you and I will miss you

Although not being able to meet Savanah personally, I can say that if anything like her mother Carol, she was a true gem. With sadness in physical loss, but rejoice in the beyond and after life where pain and sadness do not exist. In Jesus name I pray

I still can’t believe your gone babygirl. We had so much fun together. Ur daddy Jason Winters and I love you so very much. And you will be deeply missed. I remember that time I brought u a gingerbread house and we never could get it to stay up lol so we just ate it. I have all the pictures of us together at the mud bogs, Christmas lights, renaissance festival, camping, even was there when you delivered Jason’s precious grandchild. Aaron has as much fun on the tractor as you did with your daddy. Your daddy deeply loved you. And so do I. And We will never forget you baby girl. Rest In Peace my little mermaid 🧜‍♀️
