ANDERSON – A memorial service for Shirley J. Blakely “Shirt”, 77, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday November 7, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service and also after the service. Memorials may be made in honor of her sister Helen to the Autism Society of SC, 806 12th Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. Shirley was born September 15, 1935 in Sylacauga, AL and passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2012. She was a daughter of the late Elbert Wyatt and Nellie Baker Wyatt. Shirley was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan “Roll Tide”. She loved hummingbirds and loved to crochet. Most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends. Shirley was loved by everyone she met. Shirley is survived by her ex-husband, John Sountris; sons, Bob Sountris and Mike Sountris (Laura) and daughter, Monica Edwards and son, Jerry Sountris; grandchildren, Amie Thomas, Christy Keith (Scott) and Heather Sherrill (Dennis); great-grandchildren, Carley Keith, Katie-Claire Thomas, Sawyer Keith and Allie Sherrill; two nieces and one nephew. She was predeceased by her husband, Logan Blakely, Jr.; sisters, Jean Weathers and Helen Wyatt; parents and son-in-law, Timothy Edwards.
