LEXINGTON – Spencer P. Douglas, 72, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012. Born February 4, 1940 in Orangeburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Jefferson P. Douglas and Edna Lucia Nettles Douglas. Mr. Douglas was retired after 30 years with Westinghouse NFD a Tool and Dye Maker. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Mason and was a member of the Gaston Masonic Lodge. Mr. Douglas was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Mr. Douglas is survived by his wife, Emmie Wingard Douglas; daughter, Emmie Douglas Taylor and husband, Kevin; beloved granddaughter, Emmie Rosabelle Taylor; sister, Betty Guerreo; 2 nieces and 2 grand nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Lexington Extended Care and South Carolina Oncology Associates, especially Dr. Ann Hutchison for their loving care and support.
