30 years ago I saw this new beautiful blonde girl standing at my bus stop. I walked up to her (if you know me, you know i'm not shy at all, and if you knew her she was the total opposite) and said "Hi, I'm Kristen, want to be my friend" she looked at me like I had 10 heads, lowered hers and said "sure". From that first bus ride to school (Bayshore Elementary) we were inseparable ever since. My house was her home away from home, and hers was mine. My mom became like her second Mom and hers became mine. We went from kissing our hands in my bedroom pretending we were in the movie "Dirty Dancing" to her making me go on a blind date with her (of course I got stuck with the kid with snot hanging out of his nose 🤣) . At a young age of 7/8 my parent's would have NEVER-EVER let me go into a "Bar/Restaurant" but if it was to go to Roosters to see/hear Stephanie Sesler Glaze sing karaoke, I'd either hurry up and ride my bike two streets away or my Mom drove me right up there without any hesitation. Steph and I even made Lisa Alyce Page sing "Manic Monday" a few times just so we could laugh at her. (Sorry, Mama lol) That brat even made me sing with her a few times to "Waterfalls" by TLC (BTW, she HAD to be left eye lol) or "Sin Wagon" by the dixie chicks.

I've never once missed a county fair or singing contest EVER! I was her biggest fan (outside of her family, of course) I was even her back up dancer once at the Martin County Fair when she performed the latest hit of Britney Spears "Hit me baby one more time" 😁
Steph and I would always talk about how many times someone else would be on stage singing and my mom would start a chant "WE WANT STEPHANIE, WE WANT STEPHANIE". (We felt bad at the time, but gosh did we laugh thinking about it years later.) And if steph was singing my mom would scream so loudly "WE LOVE YOU STEPHANIE". It didn't matter how loud the crowd was she always managed to hear my mom tell her we loved her. 💜

Forever & Ever, My Bestest Friend💚💜- KDS
