Susan Elizabeth Chavis Arnold, 50, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025. She was born on September 12, 1975, in Charleston, South Carolina, to Freddy Chavis and Susan Nichols.
“Beth” was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, and dear friend to many around the world. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family & friends were at the heart of everything she did. She was a constant source of strength and joy, and her gentle spirit touched all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Arnold; her son, Kody Galloway and his spouse Tori Pichey; her daughter, Karma Barnhill and her spouse Austin Barnhill; her beloved grandchildren, Isaac Bailey and Everleigh Willis; her father, Freddy Chavis; her stepmother, Tootie Chavis; her mother, Susan Nichols; and preceded in death by her stepfather, Cliff Nichols.
A celebration of Beth’s life will be held at Caughman Harman Funeral Home, 503 N Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072 on October 30, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Beth’s love, compassion, and grace will never be forgotten. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will remain a guiding light for those who loved her.
