Sylvia retired from South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation and was the operator and owner of Sylvia’s Laundromat in South Congaree.
She was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, canning, antiquing and spending time with family.
Sylvia is survived by her husband of 67 years, Johnny Lucas, her daughter Sylvia Ann Tatum (Jack), daughter-in-law, Tammy Lucas, son Kenny Lucas (Keli), and grandchildren, John Lucas III, Kristin Lucas, and Kody Tatum.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Magalean Crumpton and son, John Lucas Jr.
A visitation for Sylvia will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, South Carolina 29072. A celebration of life service will occur Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Lutheran Church, 720 Bethany Church Rd, Lexington, SC 29073.
