Terry graduated from Linsly Military Institute in Wheeling, WV in 1958. He played football, basketball, and ran track. He was selected to first team All Conference track hurdles in 1957 and 1958. Terry went on to attend college at West Virginia University, where he graduated in 1963 with a B.S. in Recreation. He was a member of the Varsity Rifle Team for four years and a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. Terry retired from the U.S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel (LTC), Airbourne, Ranger, and Infantry. He retired from civilian life from Traveler’s Insurance Company as a claims adjuster.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey M. Meredith; daughter, Victoria S. Zachary; grandsons, Michael Anthony Bunch, Jr. and Billy Wayne Zachary; great-granddaughter, Katherine Leighann Bunch; and brothers, Bruce A. Meredith of Lagrange, GA and James E. Meredith of Benwood, WV.
He was predeceased by his father, Alfonse Meredith and mother, Elizabeth Meredith.
