LEXINGTON – A memorial service for Vivian S. Hudson, 93, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hudson was born in Una, Mississippi in 1921 and passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014. She was a daughter of the late Marvin Green Smith and Mary Francis Henley Smith. Vivian endured the Great Depression and was a true Rosie the Riveter. Vivian supported many great causes and was a true friend and was dedicated to her family.
Vivian is survived by her daughters, Teresa Stagg, Dinah Merchant, son, Robert Hudson and sister, Francis Smith Mauldin. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert T. Hudson and daughter, Kathy Simpson. She was loved by all and will be missed for her kind heart, good humor, guidance and love of the Atlanta Braves.
