Born on January 10, 1944, he was the son of Richard Woodruff Chewning, Jr. and Margaret Hinton. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 59 years, Jeannie Chewning.
Wade will continue to live through his children who survive him: Forrest Chewning (Mary Anna), Robyn Hagood (Danny) and Ramsi Smith (Troy); his four grandchildren: Corey Roof, Mason Smith, Hannah Smith, Jake Hagood and great grandchild, Hudson Wade Hutto. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Woodruff Chewning III (Dee Dee) and special cousin, Betty Franklin.
A private celebration of life will be held on Wade and Jeannie’s 60th wedding anniversary in June.
