LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Wanda Louise Palo, 63, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 and The Salvation Army, 2025 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
Mrs. Palo was born March 17, 1951 in Texarkana, AR. and passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Dudley Buel Lands and Ima Sue Jennings Lands. She loved gardening, swimming, decorating, rock and roll and most of all she loved her kids. She owned her own Hair Design Studio and was a Cosmetologist for 43 years in Texarkana, TX; Austin, TX; Plano, TX.and Huntsville, AL.
Mrs. Palo is survived by her husband, Vincent Palo of Lexington; daughters, Katie Shellogg McIntosh of Ashville, NC and Tiffany Shellogg of Richardson, TX; sisters, Kay Leeper and Jean Garrett both of Carrollton, TX, Carolyn Pelfrey of Texarkana, AR. and a brother, Fred Lands of Little Rock, AR.
She was predeceased by her parents and a brother, John Lands.
