William S. “Dickie” Dickert was born March 29, 1953 in Columbia, SC and went to his heavenly home with the Lord on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. He was the son of the late Norma Whitman Harmon and Sidney “Dick” Dickert.
Dickie graduated from Airport High School. He was a Deacon at First Baptist Church Olar, council member of the town of Olar, and a member of the Cayce Masonic Lodge. He loved the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were some of his passions, Dickie never met a stranger. He loved helping everyone.
Dickie is survived by his wife, Lynne Dickert; son, Ryan Dickert (Cortney); daughters, Ashley Anderson (Dallas) and Jessi Dickert; son, Michael Gettys (Michelle); grandchildren, nieces, nephews and stepmother, Dot Dickert. He was predeceased by his sister, Tammi Sue.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
