William Edwin Duck

LEXINGTON – William Edwin Duck passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018. Mr. Duck was born October 5, 1942 in New York, to the late William and Claire Monahan Duck. He was a 23 year veteran of the United States Armed Forces. William loved riding his Harley. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and all forms of racing. Surviving is his daughter, Peggy Bates (James); sons, Robert Duck Sr. and John Duck; daughter, Jennifer Mathis (Lewis); grandchildren, Victoria Duck, Katelynn Mathis, Amber Duck, Robert Duck Jr. and Aubrey Mathis; great-grandchild, Gordon Hickey; sisters, Claire Pugh, Debbie Degennaro and brother, Bob Duck. A graveside service will be held Friday May 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Association, 6437 Garners Ferry Rd., Columbia, SC 29209. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
