Born on August 13, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan, William was someone who valued hard work, integrity, and the simple joys of life. He was the devoted husband of Therese Gable; together, they shared nearly fifty years of a partnership built on loyalty, friendship, and mutual respect.
Professionally, William was a talented Machinist, with a mechanical mind and a great attention to detail. He took great pride in his work, viewing his career not just as a job, but as a way to provide a beautiful life for those he loved.
William was the proud father of three daughters: Brandi (Brian) Durocher, Krissi (Ollie) Geiger, and Ami (Chad) Solomon. He poured himself into his role as a father, guiding them with a steady hand and watching with immense pride as they grew into the people they are today.
His legacy truly blossomed through his eighteen grandchildren: Emily, Rebecca, Sarah, Joseph, Anna, Leah, Jacob, Jonathan, and Justin Durocher; Noah (Kayla), Serena, Isabella, and Joshua Szehner; Chad, Lorali, Angel (deceased), Lilli, and Laci Solomon; and his one great-grandchild, Nina Geiger. To them, he was more than a grandfather; he was a master storyteller, a fountain of wisdom, and a constant, supportive presence at every milestone.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Constance Post and his grandson, Angel.
William’s presence will be deeply missed, but his influence remains in the skills he taught, the stories he shared, and the unwavering love he gave to his family. His legacy of hard work and integrity lives on through his children and grandchildren.
