William Happy Hays III

Born February 7, 1998 in Lexington County to William Happy Hays, Jr. and Tammy Lynn Handy (Dean).

He loved doing a little bit of everything from fishing and hunting, to riding his bike. He was always ready to wet a line and be out in nature. He taught himself to cook and perfect dishes that he wouldn’t dare eat as a child. He was into gardening and growing extra-large plants. He lived everyday to the fullest – always working on projects until he mastered them.

He was predeceased by his grandparents Mary Ellen Hornsby, William Happy Hays, Sr., and Patsy Hays; and Aunts Kathy Hayes and Jackie (Peaches) Hornsby.

He is survived by his sister, Tiffany Lynn Handy; grandparents Terry Hays and Wylie Hornsby Jr. (Robin); Aunts and Uncles Bill Hayes, David Hornsby, Christine Phillips (Robbie), Dallion Goins, Kirsten Tyler (Mike), Travis Hornsby, Jessica Anderson (Dalton) and many cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 18 from 2-4 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 503 N. Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072.
