LEXINGTON – Funeral services for William R. “Skip” Jones, Jr., 71, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Calvary Chapel of Lexington. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Calvary Chapel of Lexington, 1156 Barr Rd., Lexington, SC 29072.
Mr. Jones was born July 17, 1947 in Greer, SC, and passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019. He was a son of the late Doris Holcombe and William R. Jones. Mr. Jones was a SC football official for 25 years and a member of the Gamecock club.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Jones; son, William R. “Trey” Jones III; daughters, Michelle (John) and Brooke Jones; brother, Roger Jones (Teresa); sister, Janet Rosado (Vic) and grandchildren, Savannah, Olivia, Landon, Blythe, John and Liam.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
