

WEST COLUMBIA - Visitation services for William “Andy” Lynch will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Andy was born December 5, 1962 in Panama City, FL and passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015. He was the son of William Alton Lynch and the late Diane Hutto Denny.
Andy “Sleepy” had a love for racing motorcycles and lived his life about one quarter of a mile at a time and one-tenth of a second faster than everyone else. Andy was a multi-time Orangeburg Drag Strip champion, multi-time Sembra champion, multi-time IHRA iron man champion, and multi-time MIROC winner. At the time of his death, Andy was at the top of his sport. Everybody was trying to find out how he was making his motorcycle go so fast. But it wasn’t overnight success. He paid his dues along the way, building up to be one of the top racers in the state. Andy was one of the most well liked faces in the industry, remembered as a quality person, driving with a professional attitude. He was greatly respected and much admired for his talent. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Andy is survived by his wife, Lisa R. Lynch; sons, William A. Lynch, Jr and Andrew Lynch; father, Alton Lynch (step-mom Vivian); sisters, Tiffany Lynch Ballington (Brad) and Heather Lynch Schuebel (Dustin); grandson, William Andrew Lynch, III; two nieces, Autumn Ballington and Ava Schuebel and three nephews, Tanner Ballington, Connor Ballington, and Ethan Schuebel. He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Hutto Denny and grandmother and grandfather, Gail and Burnard Winburn.
