Graveside service for William James Owen, Sr., will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends following the service at the home. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home is assisting the family at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, Irmo.
Mr. Owen, husband of the late Naomi Dailey Owen, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015. Born in Westminster, SC, he was a son of the late Ross Owen, Sr. and Loudora Jones Owen. Mr. Owen proudly served in the US Navy during WWII.
Surviving are his sons, William J. Owen, Jr. (Sharon), Stephen B. Owen (Nancy); daughter, Sharon Ann Owen; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother; Guy Owen, Sr. and sisters, Mary Alice Wessinger and Janice Wilson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Owen; five brothers and one sister.
