BIRMINGHAM, AL – Funeral services for William Robert “Bobby” Perkins, III, 30, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with interment in Lexington Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2013 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
William was born September 13, 1982 and passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 in Birmingham, AL. He was a son of Gloria Barnwell Nottingham and the late William Robert Perkins, II. He loved to play golf, loved watching Red Sox baseball and enjoyed people. He was an outstanding artist and most of all he loved his family.
William is survived by his mother, Gloria Nottingham; stepfather, Stephen Nottingham and adopted father, Harvey Ford all of Lexington; sisters, Jennifer Traxler of Gilbert, Jeanette Traxler of Lexington, Kay Perkins and Loretta Perkins of Augusta, GA. He was predeceased by his father, William Perkins, II and grandmothers, Velma Perkins and Shirley Dawkins.
