William J. Walling

After battling a rare form of leukemia for over six years, William Judson Walling of Saint Matthews, South Carolina, died on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. William had celebrated his 75th birthday this past November.

William, known by most as “Billy” loved studying history, especially his family’s history, playing golf, cooking for others, reading, playing guitar, singing with his friends, and making people laugh.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Judson Walling and Lydia Buyck Walling; siblings, Jane Yancey, Andrew Walling, and Betty Walling. He is survived by his sister, Lillian Adkins; his beloved daughters, Kelley Connelly and Tara Vazquez, and his eight grandchildren who knew him as their Papaw.

Kelley and Tara, along with their families, would love for you to come to share some of your favorite times with their dad. They invite you to drop in anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. for a time of sharing good memories of their father this Saturday, April 23rd in the fellowship hall at Congaree Baptist Church, 299 Old Belleville Rd., St. Matthews, SC 29135.
