Woodruff "Woody" Duke

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for

Woodruff “Woody” Raymond Duke, 24, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at St. James Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

Woody was born August 17, 1988 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2012. He enjoyed being in the outdoors especially going camping and fishing. He loved cooking and listening to classic rock music. He graduated from Lexington High School and College of Charleston, where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. He loved the entire Charleston area. Woody also was an avid Gamecock fan.

He is survived by his parents, John “Kip” and Sharon Duke of Lexington; a sister, Shelby W. Duke of Lexington; maternal grandparents, Marjean and Bill McRoberts; godparents, Mark and Kim Drafts; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, John Raymond and Janice L. Duke, and a maternal grandfather, John F. Thomas.
