Obituary of Norma Jean Berry
Norma Jean Berry, 67, of Burnside, Kentucky and former Liberty resident, went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2012. Born October 25, 1944 in Miamisburg, Ohio, she is the daughter of Carl and Ruth Jackson Heitz. She was a 1963 graduate of Miamisburg High School and was married to Samuel Jefferson Berry on August 13, 1969 in Richmond. Norma was a homemaker and enjoyed her time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She liked to sew, knit and travel. Her collections included teapots and books. In her leisure time, Norma enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and growing roses. Norma is survived by her husband of 44 years and her children; son Mike Heitz of Richmond; daughter: Patty Pike and her, husband Tom of St. Paul and grandchildren Katelynn and Jefferson Pike; son: Aaron Berry and his wife, Crystal of St. Peter, Minnesota and granddaughters: Heather and Samantha Berry; son Danny Berrry and his wife, Crista of Trenton, Ohio and grandchildren Alexis and Harley Berry; her parents of Richmond; two sisters and their husbands: Shirley and Bob Hamilton of Riverton, Illinois; Marty and JJ Johnson of Richmond; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 12 p.m. at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty, with Rev. Alan Terlep officiating. Interment will follow in Elkhorn Cemetery.
