Obituary of Terry Dean Liming
Terry D. Liming, age 52, of Liberty, Indiana, died Tuesday October 9, 2012 at home surrounded by his wife and family. A Union County native, he fought colon cancer for 3 years but lost his battle this week. Terry was born to Virgil and Peggy (Gulley) Liming at Reid Hospital in Richmond on March 31, 1960. He married Renae Hudson on May 22, 1983 and they have one daughter Kristen (James) Weddle of Greenwood, IN. He is survived by his sister, Cindy (Robin) Dylus of Greenfield, IN, in-laws James and Judith Hudson of Greenwood, IN. Also surviving him are many special aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, great niece and nephew. He graduated from Union County High School in 1978 where he was an active FFA member. Terry worked as a carpenter foreman for Miles-Richmond & Assoc. for 27 years. He loved to do finish work and room additions to homes. He worked primarily in Oxford, OH but also in surrounding towns. Terry had a strong passion for hunting, fishing and the outdoors in general. He was a 30 year charter member of the Whitewater Valley Ducks Unlimited chapter where he held various positions including chairman and treasurer. He was proud to be part of this distinguished organization which was dedicated to the conservation of waterfowl and wetlands. He also loved to participate in local horseshoe tournaments with his uncle where they took several trophies. He was a member of a family music group that included his grandfather, father, and uncle in which they played for area square dances. He loved playing all string instruments. Preceded in death by his father, grandparents; Ray and Inez Liming and Chester and Pearl Gulley, uncle, and cousin. A private family service is being planned and a public memorial “Celebration of Life” will be held Saturday October 13, 2012 at 5p.m. in the Union County High School Auditorium. A pitch-in dinner will be held following the memorial. Donations may be made in Terry’s name to Whitewater Valley Ducks Unlimited or Fayette Regional Health Systems (FRHS) Hospice of Connersville, IN.
