Amy Rae Higgins

Amy was born in Des Moines, Iowa on September 3rd, 1968 to Pamela Rae Hamilton and James Lloyd Pratt. They moved to Liberty, Missouri when Amy was a child, leading her to graduate from Liberty High School in 1986.

Amy loved to cook. Whenever someone would walk into her home, her first question would be “are you hungry?” One of her grandkids from her marriage with Frank Higgins took to calling her “Mimi Cook” because she always had something on the stove or in the oven. Besides cooking, Amy greatly enjoyed traveling and taking road trips, especially on her motorcycle.

Amy was always there for those who needed her, and was truly selfless. She will never be forgotten for the impact her kindness has made on friends, family, and the many others she touched throughout her life.

Amy was preceded in death by her parents, James and Pamela; her husband, Frank Higgins; and her fiancé, Shannon Underwood.

Amy is survived by her siblings, Chad Pratt and Linda Biava; her half-brother, David Pratt; her son, Derek Walters; her nephew, Matthew Biava; and her niece, Reese Pratt.
