As we lay our brother today in his final resting place,, we would like to thank you for supporting our family at this difficult time. Barry was a brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and a loving coworker. We would like to thank the Piston Automotive family for the flowers, cards, and acts of kindness during our loved ones death. Barry loved working at Piston and he would tell us many stories of all his great friends there. You would think we knew all of you too. To his childhood friends, we appreciate all the food, flowers, gift card, cards, telephone calls and love we received from you. It was like a light in the storm and it brought us brighter days. To my sons, sisters, brother, sister in laws, daughter in law, nieces and nephews , cousins we will have Barry memories and continued love in our hearts to lift us up. Barry was an honorable man and we were so proud of him ,as he was so proud of each and everyone of you. As our tears fall , we want to thank you for all of the kindness we have encountered for our family. We have been shown so much love and caring, during our loved ones loss. The sky’s and our hearts were brighter, because of each and every word that was shared to us about Barry. He was a man who loved with an undying love. When you think about Barry today, remember he loved you all. He cherished his time with you and he will always remain close to your hearts . Barry is only a prayer away and he will watch over you, with love. John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will receive you unto myself, that where I am. there ye May be also.” Again, thanks for showing Barry so much love.

Every morning I met Barry at the door going into Piston Automotive, I rarely saw him without a big smile and considered him a great friend. He loved a good joke and truly enjoyed life.
There are few days where I shed a tear in my life but hearing of the loss of Barry was one of those days as I had known him, and his family most all of my life.
My deepest sympathy to the Smith family.
Lucky Bowles.

My little cousin Barry always had great determination. He'd make
you laugh with his sense of humor. Though I haven't seen my cousin
in some time he will be missed greatly. Now he's among the heavens. We will see him again.

Julia and i want to express how sorry we are about Barry. He was a very nice person and i know how important his family was to him. I didn't see Barry often, but he always made me feel like family. As tough as things are right now, you all will have some great memories to share. Barry found his happiness at his job and fishing in his spare time. He didn't have to wonder if you all loved him,he knew.

Barry was an amazing uncle. I remember when I was younger that we use to play video games all the time or he would help with a level that I was stuck on. I’ll miss all the good times he had coming upstairs everyday to check on mom, dad, myself, & uncle pat and joking around with everyone in the family. It’s gonna be really hard not seeing him everyday or hearing his voice everyday, I hope he knows that I love him and I’ll miss him everyday and that he was one of the best uncles and person I ever known.

Knowing Barry most of my life, I have been reflecting back on the many ways he helped me throughout my life. From working on my vehicles when I was younger to fixing things in my home. Barry would always help when needed & I am forever greatful for all he did for me. I remember many times fishing & even playing video games together. I will miss joking around with him whenever we saw each other. My heart hurts for the Smith family. Barry will be missed tremendously!
