Clara Jane Smith

Clara was born July 10, 1942 in Craigsville, West Virginia, to Robert and Chrystalene Scott. They moved to California, where Clara grew up. She moved to Liberty in 1983 and raised her two sons, Tim and John. Clara worked in the kitchen at Ford Motor Company for over 21 years. She loved arts and crafts of all kinds, though she especially enjoyed making dolls and painting. Clara found great peace and joy in the outdoors, and loved camping, fishing, and spending time at the Martha Lafite Thompson Nature Sanctuary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Chrystalene Scott; her son, Charles “Tim” Timothy Tucker; her brother, Mark Kennedy; and her longtime friend, Larry Hawkins.

Clara is survived by her son, John Heeter; her granddaughter, Carlissa Peña; her sister Paula O’Neal; as well as other relatives and friends.
