Deloris “Dee” June Johnson, 78, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away at 9:00pm, October 18, 2019, surrounded by family. Dee was born February 25, 1941 in Deepwater, Missouri to Leonard and Mary Jane (Hendrix) Post. She graduated from Clinton High School and the House of Heavilin Beauty College. Dee married the love of her life, Cecil Lee Johnson on October 17, 1959 at the 1st Baptist Church of Clinton. He was drafted shortly thereafter and they lived at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, where she worked at home as a cosmetologist.
They had three boys. She enjoyed camping and fishing with her family, playing cards and games, shopping, going to the boats, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family. Dee was a people person and never met a stranger. She was the most lovable person you could ever meet.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved husband, Cecil.
She is survived by her three sons, Don (Bradley) of Liberty, MO, David (Therese) of Ft. Worth, TX, and Stanley (Lara) of Buffalo, MO; her brothers, George Post (Rose), and Leslie Post; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, 119 E. Franklin St., Liberty, Missouri from 5:00-6:00pm, with the service at 6:00pm. Inurnment will be in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
