Donna Mae Alley, 80, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on November 3, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Church Archer Pasley Funeral Home, 119 E. Franklin Street, Liberty, Missouri 64068. Doors will open to the public 30 minutes before the service.
Donna was born in Chillicothe, Missouri on July 29, 1945, to Mary Elizabeth (Braun) and Justin De Loy Lawhon. She was raised in Chillicothe and graduated from Chillicothe High School. Donna was a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her family, especially as it grew to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was lovingly called “Gigi” by her great-grandchildren. She took every available opportunity to be involved in their lives and activities so they’d know how loved they were.
Beside her family, Donna enjoyed watching hockey with her daughter, Shelly, especially the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team. She was well-traveled, loved the beach, and loved watching, and flying with, her grandson Logan. During quieter times, she would read, crochet, cross-stitching, and in the last several years of her life had taken up adult coloring, teaching herself how to dynamically shade and create realism and optical illusions.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Justin; her two husbands, Ronald Eugene Eller and Robert William Alley; and her sister, Doris Schwab.
Donna is survived by her children, Shelly Wilson, Darren Eller, and Angela Throckmorton (Ian); her grandchildren, Nichole Custer, Dani Dibben, Nick Candler, Derreck Davis, Ricky Blake Wilson, Brennen Eller, and Logan Throckmorton; and many great-grandchildren, friends, and other people who loved her.
