Ella lee Amos, 89 of Liberty, MO passed away Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Norterre Care Center, surrounded by family. Ella was born November 9, 1930 to Frank and Frances (Hudlemeyer) Liggett in Liberty, MO. She graduated from Liberty High School. On March 3, 1949, she married Harold Amos. Ella worked for the US Postal service for over 20 years, all the while being the poster homemaker and raising the couples four children. On November 1997 Harold passed away. Ella enjoyed making jewelry, gardening, canning, and cooking. Her favorites were homemade noodles, rolls, and her famous Texas Sheet Cake. In 1999 Ella found her partner and companion in Roger Vanderpool. The couple spent 11 long years enjoying each other’s company traveling, hanging out with friends and family, and going to the casinos. Ella never knew a stranger, and found a way to love everyone, and when you came to her home, she made sure everyone was well fed and taken care of. Her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids were very loved by her, and she will be missed dearly as she touched our lives in such a profound way. Ella’s legacy is her family. She was a loving mother and caregiver. We were all blessed to be able to call her Mom, Grandma, great Grandma, sister, and friend. Until we meet again. Rest in peace now. Soar like an eagle, go rest high on that mountain for your work here is done.

To my dear mother.. I will never EVER forget the love, you've shown me through my lifetime.... When I was going through tough times.. You were my rock.. You helped me get my life, back on track... We did so many things together.... Especially OUR vacations we took together... That was our bonding time.. I'm so thankful that I was able to give these wonderful trips to you.. The Grand Canyon.. The look you had, the first time you got to see it.. Priceless.... I'm so glad that I was blessed to call you mom.. You had such a loving and caring heart.. I will miss our times together... Love you dearly mom.. Rest in peace.. I wish I could see you now.. I know you are so happy... Knowing, how much you missed, the ones that went before you... Deep down in my heart.. I know you are in Heaven.. I know you are in no more pain.. You missed your mom and dad so much.. Along with Daddy, Rick, Krissy, & Roger.. But.. My heart is breaking into right now... I wasn't ready for you to leave... Not yet... I did my best to care for you.. To show you how much I loved you... Even through the hard times... We got through it together... Please ... Save me a place in Heaven.. You are in good hands now.. Give our loved ones a big hug from me... Tell them they are missed too.. Until the Lord calls me home... To be reunited with you again.. I will always love you mom.. For ever and ever.... 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

So many things to say about this amazing woman. She was there for me when some were not growing up. Always made sure you had food in your belly (sometimes even followed you down the road to make sure you were not hungry lol) and made sure you had clothes on back. She taught us to work hard and be grateful for what we have. I am grateful to have this amazing woman that I call grandma in my life and thank the lord for giving me this ANGEL. I love you grandma and you will be missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace love always your Grandson
