I went to grade school and junior high with Leroy. Had not heard anything about him for many years. I loved Cindy Doyle's memory. I was surprised to see that we shared the same birthday, July 7, 1937. He must have turned out to be a very good man.

Leroy and my dad Earl Doyle were best friends. Together they were a hoot. They made me laugh when they were together. They were the epitome of dirty old men. When one would get something, the other would have to get it. (i.e. When my dad bought his truck, Leroy bought a truck, when my Leroy would do something to his truck, my dad would do the same thing.) They shared a love of the swap shops, for their families and for their country.

Leroy was a good man. When I was 40 and had just got off drugs and was trying to rebuild my life, I walked to work everyday until I had the money to put down a down payment on a convertible that Leroy had and he allowed me to make payments to him until I paid it off.

He looked at me as his own daughter, well except when he would want a hug. =)

Leroy you are going to be sorely missed. Your smile and laugh were contagious. You were a man of honor and integrity. I know you're in heaven with my parents and carol and your parents looking down on us all. You are now our guardian angel. I love you Leroy!

Love,
Cyndy Doyle
