James Gene Mizes

James G. Mizes, 87, formerly of Liberty, Missouri passed away on July 2, 2015. He was born on March 12, 1928 in Hennessey, OK. Jim was a proud veteran having served in the US Navy. He was the longtime owner of the Trails Inn Restaurant in Liberty,Missouri and was past President of the Missouri Restaurant Association. Raising Foxtrotter horses was his primary hobby and he was a member of Missouri Foxtrotter Association. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Darlene (Cox) Mizes; his father, James K. Mizes and mother, Lucille Davis. He is survived by a son , J. Scott Mizes of Morgantown, WV and a daughter, Lisa Boeh and her husband, Jim of Leawood KS, and four grandchildren, Christopher Mizes, Adam Mizes, Morgan Boeh and Michael Boeh. Visitation will be 11:30 am until service time at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Second Baptist Church, 300 E. Kansas, Liberty, MO.
