John Rufus Jones, 93, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away December 13, 2014. John was born in Sturgis, Kentucky to Elijah Banner and Naomi Hall Jones. He had been employed as an Executive with the Arabian American Oil Company. He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church and had served on the Board of Directors of the Our Lady of Mercy Country Home. Mr. Jones is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: Randolph and Margaret Jones of Scottsdale, Arizona, Jeffrey Jones of Las Vegas, Nevada, and, Steven Jones of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren: Robert , Sean, Zachary, and Daniel Jones, Sarah Glorioso, and Kay Leigh Myers; and, his great-grandchildren: Sabrina, Jessica, Keagan, Liam, Casey, Crosby, Andrew, Alex, Gabriella, and Xander. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Our Lady of Mercy Country Home, 2115 Maturana Drive, Liberty, Mo. 64068.
