

Juanita was born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 28th, 1930 to Marie and Russell Singleton. She lived most of her life in the Kansas City area, where she worked as an administrative assistant for a number of medical related businesses, such as the Visiting Nurse Association. Her retirement decades were spent in Arkansas, before recently moving back to KC.
Juanita was married to Edward J. Coleman from 1949 until his death in 1970. That marriage produced 5 wonderful children: Edward D., Doris, Pam, Jason, and Marcia.
In 1986, Juanita married Wayne Sullins and inherited her second family.
Juanita was an animal lover and especially loved her German Shepherds. At one time, she had 4 of them and enjoyed showing them at dog shows where she would demonstrate their training in obedience. She also loved to ride horses and owned several throughout her life. When she was with Wayne, they enjoyed camping and traveling in their RV, which was one of their favorite activities together.
Juanita was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward; her parents, Marie and Russell; her brother, Russell; and an infant daughter, Marcia.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Wayne Sullins; her son, Edward D. Coleman of Lee’s Summit; her daughters, Doris Coleman of Raytown and Pam (Ron) Roberts of Florida; her son, Jason Coleman of Oregon; her step-daughters, Melissa Myers and Michelle (Denny) Short of Liberty; her step-son, Michael (Michelle) Sullins of Platte City; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren on both sides of the family.
