

Keith was born on February 15, 1941 in Kansas City, MO. to Norman and Flora (Masters) Hannsz of Orrick, Missouri. He married his High School sweetheart, Martha Lou Middleton. They recently celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Keith graduated from Orrick High School (Class of 1959), where he was a four-year letterman in Football, Basketball and Baseball. He received the Beany Award, given to the outstanding Senior Class male athlete. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Central Missouri State University (Class of 1963).
From 1963 – 1969, Keith worked at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Missouri as a 2nd Shift Shipping Supervisor. In 1969, he joined Padgett Instruments in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was a sales agent until he retired in 2004. With Padgett, he traveled widely throughout the Midwest (and beyond) calling on Hospitals and Plastic Surgeons, as well as displaying products at medical meetings and conventions across North America, South America, Canada and Europe. He especially loved the opportunities to travel.
Keith was a longtime member of the Liberty United Methodist Church, and a devoted leader of Boy Scout Troop 376. He was proud to help his sons earn the rank of Eagle Scout, and enjoyed mentoring other young men in the Troop. Keith also achieved the rank of Honorary Warrior in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation in Osceola, Missouri.
In retirement, Keith enjoyed camping, Trout fishing, playing golf, and listening to Country and Bluegrass Music. Keith also enjoyed attending Kansas Jayhawks Football games and cheering on the Kansas City Royals.
Keith is survived by his wife, Martha; sons Michael K. (Liana) Hannsz and Timothy D. (Missy) Hannsz; grandsons Tyler D. (Jake) Hannsz; and Joshua L. (Erica) Hannsz; along with cousins and close family friends Cecil, Amy and Walker Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held on January 7th, 2026 at Liberty United Methodist Church; 1001 Sunset Avenue; Liberty, Missouri 64068. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.; followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the church. A private, family burial will take place at South Point Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty United Methodist Church; Liberty, Missouri or Southpoint Cemetery in Orrick, Missouri.
