Madelaine Lee (Street) Livella Coleman, 80, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025, following a fall that resulted in injuries from which she was unable to recover. She was born May 4, 1945, in Tampa, Florida, to Thomas Street and Frances (Scott) Street.
Madelaine graduated from Presbyterian Hospital Nursing School in Denver as a Registered Nurse and proudly served in the United States Air Force. After the birth of her children, she devoted herself to raising her family, later returning to nursing where she built a career of more than 30 years as a compassionate and dedicated RN.
She was first married to Jack Livella, with whom she had seven children. On March 14, 1987, Madelaine married Delwin Roy Coleman, and their marriage was later sealed in the temple on October 14, 1988. Together, Madelaine and Delwin raised her seven children and built a loving home, where she also embraced his three children as her own.
Madelaine was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She found joy and purpose in attending temple, studying the scriptures, and researching her family genealogy. Above all, she cherished her family and the time she spent with them.
She is survived by her husband, Delwin Roy Coleman; her children, Chris (Therese) Livella of La Center, Washington; Adam (Karin) Livella of Olathe, Kansas; Michael Livella of Eureka, California; Jason (Rachel) Livella of Shawnee, Kansas; Jared Livella of Eureka, California; Matt Livella of Olathe, Kansas; and Shannon (Marcos) Chavez of Overland Park, Kansas. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Michael (Melinda) Coleman of Leavenworth, Kansas, and Becky (Roy) Coleman-Newsom of Pensacola, Florida; her sisters, Ruth Gillespie and Lisa Damerst-Graham.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Abbi, Sophie, Tristin, Georgia, Aaron, Levi, Marlee, Jessica, and McKenzie; her great-grandchildren: Johanna, Oliver, Tucker, Olivia, and Cora; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who loved her dearly.
Madelaine was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Frances Street, and her stepson, Jeffrey Coleman.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1130 N. Clayview Dr., Liberty, MO 64068. A viewing will begin at 10:00 AM, with services to follow at 11:00 AM.
Madelaine will be remembered for her faith, her kindness, her dedication to her family, and her lifelong service to others.
