Margaret J. Cummings, 76 of Mount Vernon, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019 in Liberty, Missouri. Memorial Services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, April 18 at the Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home. Friends may call after 12:00 pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
Margaret was born January 13, 1943, in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Robert P. and Catherine L. (Ross) Cranmer. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School and moved away after getting married. She returned to Mount Vernon 36 years ago, where she remained until 8 months ago. Margaret was a Therapeutic Program Worker for Mount Vernon Development Center for 23 years before she retired in 2005. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, gardening and collecting hummingbirds. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon, and she was, of course, an Ohio State Buckeyes Fan.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, David L. Cummings; 2 children, Cathy Alicie and her husband Brian, and Christopher Cummings and his wife Karen; 4 grandchildren, Taressa Alicie, Storm Alicie, Thomas Cummings and Anna Cummings; and 2 sisters, Carole Small and her husband Bill, and Patsy Lamb and her husband Floyd.
