We, Joe and I met Maria and Steve years ago and became friends, dancing together and making frybread at the concession stand. Her traditions of the Native Americans will be a loss to the native community. She was very outspoken when it came to dancing and princesses roles. I am sure she will be looking down and keeping an eye out. We will miss this "Lipan" Apache Woman very much. My children and us send our prayers to the creator for her family and blessing for Maria's new journey.

We always loved seeing and visiting with Maria at the Pow Wows. She was a wonderful, fun, good-hearted person.

We have been blessed to have Maria as our neighbor for the past 18 years. Loved Maria's enthusiasm to participate in or contribute to any neighborhood event going on! She was so much fun to be around. Will always remember Maria's birthday, June 27th. Many years ago we would camp out together, in our pop-up campers, in Pawhuska, OK for the annual Osage In-Lon-Scha, which was a four -day, end of June, ceremony/celebration. Consequently, her birthday was complete with fireworks, and all you can eat meat pies and grape dumplings. We will always cherish these good memories. Miss you Maria, rest in peace.
