Martha Jean "Jeannie" Archer, 77, of Lathrop, Missouri, passed away May 14, 2022. A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00pm, Friday, May 20th at Church Archer Pasley Funeral Home, 119 E. Franklin St., Liberty, Mo, with funeral services to follow at 1:00pm, Burial will be in #6 Cemetery outside of Gower, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or Autism Awareness.
Jeannie was born December 2, 1944 in Kansas City, MO to Julius Lambertine Liston Shelton Shaw and Violet Marie (Greenstreet) Shaw. She was one of ten daughters, and was a twin. Jeannie married Larry Archer on August 1, 1964 and they raised three children. She was an amazing cook and baker for Corner Cafe and other restaurants and was even featured in the Kansas City Star for her baking!
Jeannie had the biggest heart and was loyal to a fault. She was constantly doing things for other people and was always last in line. Jeannie was happiest when she was cooking big meals for her family. She enjoyed traveling and always made a point to take a vacation every year.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her nine sisters, including her twin, Margi; her daughter, Amber Joy Archer; and her grandson, Anthony Hoedl.
Jeannie is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Larry Archer; her children, Teresa Archer, and Larry Archer (Amanda Hanson); her grandchildren, Jeana Archer, Derek Archer, King Archer, Aedan Veraguth, Aaron Veraguth, and Ariana Hanson; her great-grandchildren, Jordan Archer, Katelynn Archer, Shyann Archer-Smith, Tyler Smith, Gracelynn Hoedl, and Brooklyn Archer; as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
