Mary Valerie George

In 1963, her family moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where Mary attended St. Elizabeth’s Grade School and Bishop Hogan High School. She went on to earn a degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and enjoyed a 40-year career as a dental hygienist in Kansas City, working from 1976 until her retirement in 2016.

On May 21, 1977, Mary married L.C. George III. Together they raised two children, Alex and Bridget. In retirement, Mary found great joy in spending time with her beloved grandchildren—Mason, Ashley, and Connor.

Mary was a devoted member of St. James Catholic Church and the Precious Blood Companions in Liberty, Missouri, where she remained active throughout her adult life.

She is survived by her loving husband, L.C. George; her children, Alex (Michelle) George and Bridget (Kyle) George; and her grandchildren, Mason, Ashley, and Connor.

She will be remembered for her unwavering faith, quiet strength, and her unconditional love for her family and friends. Her presence was a gift, and her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on October 6, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, located at 309 S Stewart Rd, Liberty, MO 64068.

Following the visitation, a Funeral Mass will take place at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Burial will occur on October 8, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119, which will also serve as her final resting place.
