

Born on May 26, 1925, in Mound City, Missouri, Phyllis was the daughter of Ralph and Katherine Zachary, both of whom preceded her in death. She lived a long and meaningful life with family, friends, and church.
Phyllis was united in marriage to Robert Boyle in 1952. Their marriage lasted 37 years, after which Robert passed in 1989.
She is survived by her children: Katherine Sue Delohery of Castle Rock, Colorado; and Karen Lee Crain of Kearney, Missouri and daughter in law Paula Kadera Boyle, of Kansas City, Missouri, (wife of Bruce E. Boyle, deceased 2018)
She is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild: Lindsey Ray Ibarra (Praveen) Sharma of Brooklyn, New York; Catherine Crain (partner, Victor Bissonnette) of Liberty, Missouri; Austin Delohery and Andrew Delohery of Castle Rock, Colorado; and great grandson Roman Robert Ibarra Sharma of Brooklyn, NY. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Adam Delohery.
Among her seven siblings, she is survived by Ralph K. Zachary of Lyndhurst, Virginia, and Katherine Zachary of St. Joseph, Missouri. She was preceded in death by Richard Zachary of St. Joseph, Missouri; Martina Dunnigan of Ohio; Helen Tishfield of Fairfax, Missouri; Robert Willis Zachary of Maitland, Missouri; and Paul E. Zachary of Chillicothe, Missouri.
She began her professional life teaching in rural schools throughout northwest Missouri for four years, followed by four years with Western Auto Company. In 1956, she began her banking career with First National Bank of Liberty, where she served faithfully until her retirement in 1987 from Centerre Bank.
A devoted member of South Liberty Baptist Church, Phyllis was active in both her faith and her community. Her memberships included the American Institute of Banking, Liberty Hospital Auxiliary, and Liberty Meals on Wheels.
Phyllis will be remembered for her steadfast faith, strong work ethic, and deep love for her family and community. Her century of life touched generations, and her legacy will live on in the many lives she influenced.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, or the American Cancer Society.
