Phyllis Grace Williams

Phyllis Grace Williams, age 84, of Liberty, Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024. A visitation for Phyllis will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, 119 East Franklin Street, Liberty, Missouri 64068, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Liberty, Missouri.

Phyllis was born April 8, 1940 in Clay County, Missouri to Edgar and Marjorie Foley. She grew up in Excelsior Springs, Missouri and married the love of her life, R. Glenn Williams at the age of sixteen. They raised their children, Rusty and Mechelle in Excelsior Springs and later Liberty, Missouri.

Phyllis was a take-charge kind of lady and was known to be strict when needed, but always she took care of her home and her family. She did work for the Kearney school district for a few years, mostly to keep an eye on her kids. She is a former member of Kearney Christian Church. When she had free time, Phyllis loved sewing and crafts, painting and ceramics. Phyllis also helped sand and stain her husband Glenn’s wood working projects and they were proud to sell them in local craft shows.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Glenn in 2022; her daughter-in-law, Marsha Williams, her son-in-law, Jay Young; and her brother, Arthur Lane Foley.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Rusty Williams, and Mechelle Young; her grandson, Chris Williams and his wife Sami and their children, Samuel and Marjorie; her grandson, Josh Williams and his children, Nick and Cooper; her granddaughter, Jackie Neidholdt and her partner Jack Otis and their son, Parker Otis; as well as many other relatives and friends.
