R. Glenn Williams, 84, of Liberty, Missouri, passed away January 6, 2022. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am, Monday, January 10th, with funeral services at 11:00am, all at Church Archer Pasley Funeral Home, 119 E. Franklin St., Liberty, MO 64068. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery in Liberty. Glenn was born January 11, 1937 in Clay County, Missouri to Paul and Dorothy Williams. He graduated from Excelsior Springs High School. Glenn married the love of his life, Phyllis Foley on September 30, 1956. He worked a farm, raising both crops and cattle. Glenn then worked his way up in the Gas Service Company (now Spire), first as a laborer, then pipe fitter, foreman, and retired as a supervisor. He was a former member of the Kearney Christian Church. Glenn was a talented woodworker and often made furniture and other items. He went to a coffee group often and went hunting with his son. Glenn also loved animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his two sisters, Reta Neth, and Jane Hankins.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Phyllis G. Williams; his children, Rusty Williams, and Mechelle Young (Jay); his grandchildren, Josh Williams, Chris Williams (Sami), and Jackie Neidholdt (Jack Otis); his great-grandchildren, Nick Williams, Cooper Williams, Samuel Williams, and Parker Otis; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
