Richard was the coolest guy I ever knew. He wasn't just a balanced person - that implies compromise. He was exemplary in nearly every way. He was a protector - an intimidating mountain of a man who served proudly in the Marines. And he was also compassionate, generous, and loyal. He trained his mind as well as his body and was highly knowledgeable about history, politics, and things that make the world go around. I learned something from him every time we got together. He was serious about knowing the truth of things, but he also had an imagination and a sense of humor. Game nights at Richard & Virginia's was our favorite thing to do on the weekends. I got the better deal out of our friendship, and hopefully, just a little bit of him rubbed off on me.

I worked with Richard in USCIS...we were field security managers together, he in Kansas City and I in Dallas. Richard actually taught me about security in USCIS many years ago when I attended the local security officer course in Laguna Niguel, CA. His passing leaves a huge hole within our team and within our hearts.

My deepest sympathies.

Mrs. Hull,
I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Hull's passing. I worked with him when I worked at the USCIS office in Omaha. I enjoyed the long conversations we had when he would visit our office. He really liked to talk about the family, dogs and his collection. He was very good at what he did and I learned a lot from him. He will truly be missed.

Virginia, I am so sorry to hear about you and your family's loss. Our thoughts are with you. Words fall short to express my sorrow for your loss. Richard was a great person, and it was a pleasure to know him both as a coworker and a friend. We have so many great memories of game nights at your house and spending time with both you and Richard.
