

Rick passed away July 23, 2025 at NKC Hospital after a 7 year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Rick was born to Nova June Huffman and Leland Everett Tracy in Nevada, Missouri. He lived in Kansas City, Missouri as an adult and worked for Graphic Resources for 46 years.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sandra, and daughter, Kimberly, two grandchildren, Cole and Ellie, as well as his sister, Lisa Priddy .
He was married to his wife, Sandy, on February 14, 1978. They welcomed their daughter, Kimberly, in June of 1983. They moved to Liberty, Missouri in 1987, where they raised Kimberly. He enjoyed his last years living in the country, 2 doors down from his daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren.
Rick was a kind, soft-spoken and gentle man with an infectious smile and a calm presence. He was a loving husband and father. He was a respectful man, but was also fluent in humor and sarcasm. He could always make his family laugh. Rick enjoyed racing motocross, camping and water skiing in his younger days. At age 50, he bought a Harley, which brought him much joy. One year, he and his wife rode it on the long trip to Sturgis. Rick and Sandy also went on trips to explore National Parks. He enjoyed gardening and mushroom hunting in later years.
Rick bravely fought cancer with rarely any complaint. He endured many challenging treatments, in an effort to stay with his family as long as possible. His family is heartbroken at his passing. He will forever be lovingly remembered in their hearts.
A private ceremony was held on 7/30/25.
