Robert C “Rocky” Pence of Kearney, Missouri, born November 10, 1959 in Liberty Missouri passed away on Friday May 28, 2021 in a fatal motorcycle accident. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert J. and Charlee Marlow of Liberty, Missouri. He is survived by his wife Jennifer and son Robert Joseph “Joe” Pence, also of Kearney Missouri, his brother Randy Pence of Albuquerque, New Mexico and his sister Robin Rice of Independence, Missouri.
He was an activist and champion for the motorcycling community as a member of Freedom of Road Riders Local 29. He was the last active, charter member and President of Brothers Word Motorcycle Club, as well as a life-long friend of the El Forastero and Galloping Goose Motorcycle clubs.
He was an avid historian, proud of the Pence family name and its historical ties to the local Liberty-Kearney area. He was a respected local businessman, as the owner and operator of Convera, Inc., since 1996.
He was a loving and devoted husband of 38 years to his wife Jennie, committed father to son, Joe (29). He was loved by so many; we are too many to count. We will remember the joy and laughter Rocky brought to us by simply living his life, doing what he loved to do, surrounded by the people he loved. He will be remembered as a man amongst men for his loyalty and commitment to his family, his club, his friends and his community. In Lieu of Flowers the family requests that donations go to the City Union Mission for Bikers with a Mission.
