Roberta “Bert” Jane Oliver, 78, of Liberty, passed away February 2, 2021. Funeral services will be noon, Friday, February 5, 2021 at Church Archer Pasley Funeral Home, 119 E. Franklin St., Liberty, MO; a visitation will precede the service from 11-noon. Interment will follow in Fairview New Hope Cemetery in Liberty.

Bert was born March 5, 1942 to Robert and Etta Irene Carter. She was first married to Harold E. Reeves and after their divorce was joined in marriage to Benny Oliver in the mid 1960’s. They raised a family of four in the Liberty area. Bert worked for Guys Food for many years on the line. Her passion in life was her family and her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and known for her fried eggs by her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Benny Oliver; her sisters, Etta Mae James, and Bobby Ann Buckley; and her brothers, Charles, Everett and Robert Carter.

Bert is survived by her children, Harold Reeves, Don Reeves, Benny Oliver, Jr. (Lisa), and Sharon Bendure (Brad); her nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; her sisters, Janice Kay Carter, and Betty Fay Wilson; her half-sisters, Marty and Dora; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Wayne thought very highly of his Aunt Bert and spoke of her and Uncle Benny often. As with all the other's who have gone to heaven before her, I'm sure Wayne was also there to welcome her!
