Dolores Jean McKown was born November 9, 1934 to Emma Marie (Britton) & James Henry McKown in Liberty, MO. Forever known as "Sammy," she graduated from Liberty High School in 1952 & was already employed in the insurance industry. She retired as an underwriter for the Transamerica Insurance Company. After retirement she worked at Fashion Bug for fun. She also volunteered at Liberty Hospital -- her favorite spots were the Gift Shop & Tree House. She just "wanted to have fun."
Sammy married James Blaine Mihlhauser on November 29, 1952 in Liberty and was with him until his death on June 28, 2013. They had membership in Liberty Hills Country Club & loved swimming pools, golf & tennis. They were active in the Corbin Theater, and loved to travel.
Sammy was a social butterfly & the life of the party. She loved singing, dancing & fashion -- especially sequins, hats, tiny shorts & animal prints.
Sammy is predeceased by her parents, Jim & Emma McKown; her sister & brother-in-law, Disca Ann & Earl Kovar; her husband, Jim Mihlhauser; & her companion after Jim's death, Robert Dye.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Sammy's neighbors & friends, her great-nephew Michael Baker,
