Vesta Lula Porter, age 77, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018. Vesta was born February 28, 1941 in Taberville, Missouri to parents Clara Rose and Luther Joseph Poling. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1959. Throughout her working years, Vesta worked as secretary in the legal system. Vesta was also a proud member of Pisgah Baptist Church.
Vesta is survived by one daughter; Kristi (Paul) McCoy; two grandchildren, Angie McCoy, Josh (Leslie) McCoy; and one great-grandchild, Maddox McCoy; and was predeceased by her parents.
A funeral service will be conducted in Vesta's honor at Pisgah Baptist Church,112 Pisgah Drive, Excelsior Springs, Missouri 64024, on Friday, August 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM with visitation at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Taberville Cemetery at 2:30 PM.
The family suggests donations in Vesta's memory be made to a charity of choice.
