Willard Lee White, age 88, of Liberty, Missouri, formerly of Raytown, Missouri, passed away on Saturday March 24, 2018. Willard was born April 8, 1929 in Bosworth, Missouri. He graduated from Bosworth High School in 1946. After high school, Willard went to work for Santa Fe Railroad as a fireman on a steam locomotive. The locomotive is now on display in Burlington, Iowa. Later, he joined the Army and served as a Master Sergeant during the Korean War. After the war he married Mary Jane Gallatin in 1954 and they spent 58 wonderful years together before her passing in January of 2012. He retired from Growth Industries and enjoyed years of traveling and restoring John Deere Tractors.
He is survived by one son, Kevin White; one daughter, Kelley (Alan) Heitmann; one daughter-in-law, Judy White; four grandchildren, Kevin (Amber) White, Rachel (Anthony) DelaFuente, Lee Michael "Mikey" White, and Allison Heitmann (Ryan Parker); five great-grandchildren; and a multitude of nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
